I would get it bedded and add a cross bolt as well. If there is a stud in the end of your forend do not worry as it will not cut your hand, they do not kick that much. But it is easy to add the barrel band, my smith took off my banded front site on my cz .458 lott and added the barrel band...I agree they look nice, he then placed the banded front site back on and there is no marks of any kind. Where the swivel in the forend was he placed a piece of buff horn in there as a plug. Looks nice. Congrats on the cz there excellent rifles despite what some say.

PC, There's no stud there and I will add the barrel band stud. Also will go ahead with the glass and crossbolt re-inforcement. I figured out how that single set trigger works. It will be helpful when I scope the rifle. Rich Elliott

I have the same gun, with the set trigger and a similar set-up on my Sauer 200 in 9.3x62, and I've not yet found a reason to use it on either gun. The CZ trigger is very crisp (I should say the one on my gun is), when pre-engaging travel is set to zero. Cold fingers might not be a concern on a gun for Africa, but I found those set triggers just a tad to "touchy" for me in NA or European conditions. But if *you* like'm... I generally like my new CZ too...despite the fact that I see some feeding/ejection issues that need taking care of. I'm in no hurry, but it will have to be done someday. Frans
