I am thinking about using 375 270 gr triple shocks on PG in Namibia.
Any one used them before? If so what were they like?
I am considering others too, just trying to get opinions.

Thanks

It's a cracking bullet, that I used on my first and only safari. 8 one shot kills and a follow up on the Eland which was entirely my fault. In fact the TSX's penetration meant that the shot wasn't an entire failure and made for a much easier follow up. I was using the 168grain TSX, and have used it on everything since I got back too.

Good luck with your hunt.

I used 225 grain TSXs in my .338 Win in Namibia with great success. They should be just as good or better in your .375.

I used 300 gr TSX's in my .375 RUM for Buffalo and PG last year with excellent results. The only bullet recovered was the one in the buffalo. It was the perfect Barnes mushroom, and it stopped in the "off" shoulder. I shot bushbuck, cmn reedbuck, nyala, and zebra with that same load. All were complete pass throughs with less than a 1" exit hole, and very massave internal damage. Shots ranged from about 20 yds for the bushbuck to 210 yds (laser ranged) for the nyala.

In my opinion it is a great bullet! Killed Black Wildebeest, Waterbuck, Cape Eland, Jackal, Burchell's Zebra and a Mule Deer last year using the TSX 180 grain in my '06. Less copper fouling too.

I used the 300 grain TSX on Buff, Zebra and plains game in Tanzania in November. They worked marvelous. I recovered two of the bullets from the two buff I got and they looked like advertisements. From my limited experience, I would recommend highly.
