I think anyone can edit Wikipedia. I have in the past but I gave up after I realized that the Wikigestapo will take you to task for anything you add or change.

I really liked this part:
quote:
The lion and African bush elephant are classified as endangered. The leopard and white rhinoceros are classified as vulnerable and near threatened. The black rhinoceros is classified as critically endangered so cannot be hunted at all.

Hunting in Africa is an adventure. The number of variables involved preclude the possibility of a perfect hunt. Some problems will arise. How you decide to handle them will determine how much you enjoy your hunt.

Just tell yourself, "it's all part of the adventure." Remember, if Robert Ruark had gotten upset every time problems with Harry
Selby's flat bed truck delayed the safari, Horn of the Hunter would have read like an indictment of Selby. But Ruark rolled with the punches, poured some gin, and enjoyed the adventure.

I have edited some minor things on other pages but I think there is some accreditation you can get. I will check on that.

Matt, your request for accreditation will end as soon as they see you're an Aussie. They'd be afraid the edits would be peppered with the "F-Bomb" and other such uncivilized expletitives :-)

Yes that could be a problem!!!

Going back to this topic. I spoke to the guy who edits the Aust firearm pages and he said there is no accreditation, ANYONE can edit... he just had to wear down the antis by changing what the wrote over and over... they quit eventually.

Remember that these pages are what our kids and grandkids use for research at school... they NEED to be correct.

If anyone is interested in working on these hunting pages just let me know. This guy in Aust has offered his advice and experience to help do it.
