The ability to take a mediocre quality picture and tune it up where it is now of the same quality as the memories that it evokes, is a special talent that we can all appreciate. WELL DONE Late Bloomer

Cecil, I think it is called "shabby chic". I always knew it as something else though.

I've really enjoyed LB's work on the forum photos too. He did one of mine last year and I couldn't believe the difference.

We all have our "special" pics of our trophies. However, they were not taken in the best of conditions with the best of equipment.

Roland does his "magic" with the love and passion of a hunter.

In much humility I thank you... It's something I truly enjoy with much passion.

I put every ounce of care into each photo like it was me on that special safari and my trophy and how I would like it depicted and remembered... a TROPHYSHOT that I would be very proud to display in my home or office or even just my computer.

I am NOT a PS GURU by any stretch of the imagination. I am self-taught and it has taken me many hours over the past 6 years to get a pretty good feel on how to extract as much img.file data as possible from these small-sensor Compact Point&Shoot cameras that we all enjoy using afield.

I happened into all of this by accident.

I went to Namibia in 2008 with two cameras... a Canon DSLR and a crummy P&S.

Lo and behold when I got back I was really discouraged when I looked at the trophy shots from my P&S compared to my DSLR/"L" lens.

And this is when and where it all began with my new business venture TROPHYSHOTS trademark.

I do have a normal workflow to post-process the photos but I quickly go into a wide variety of UNORTHODOX techniques to extract the type of data I'm after according to the photo. It's almost like processing things backwards up to a point at different stages while the image comes to life.

Some image files give up more and others less.

Nevertheless, my objective is to massage the file in such a way that it will give me the tonal IQ I'm after and the finer details that make an image a... TROPHYSHOT

Just thought I'd take the time to share for those that may have an interest.

I appreciate all the work I've been receiving from our members... thank you for placing your trust in me...for it has opened many doors for me that I could never have dreamed and it's happening quickly tu2
