Carmelo A. Lisciotto posts here under the handle of maxman001

His profile is here:
maxman001

maxman001 posts on A/R quite frequently.

I noticed a few months ago (from an old thread; see: Greetings from "The Real Carmelo") that there may be some confusion about the former troll (and possible hacker) that went under the handle / user name of "carmelo" with that of the identity of Carmelo A. Lisciotto (AR user name: maxman001). I do not believe they are the same person. Anyone can register with any made up user name on here. Just because some one registered with the user name of "carmelo" in the past doesn't mean that it was the same person as Carmelo A. Lisciotto.

Also, Mr. Lisciotto (maxman001) posted a thread, with photos, about his trip to RSA.
See this thread:
Back from RSA (just a few Carmelo Pic's)

Just my two cents worth...

Bob - the only one buying the story of the hijacked IP was Carmelo.

Bob,

Thanks for making that clear however no need for any of us to perpetuate these threads any further.

These guys have the right to think and feel whatever they wish. No one is going to convince them otherwise and there really isn't any need to do so. Anything anyone posts on the matter is simply fuel for the tirades. I think we would all rather discuss hunting then more of the "Carmelo Threads"

Thanks again for you support.

I have had a number of email conversations, both on and off AR with this particular Carmelo and he has been a gentleman of the first order, and I have seen no indications what so ever that he is the "Carmelo, the idiot"...and even if he was then he has changed his attitude totally, and thats good enough for me...but I am pretty darn sure they are two different people, because a Leopard never changes his spots.

Let's all accept Maxman001 at his word, and talk hunting, shooting and the things we enjoy...

Ray and Bob, The problem I see with your position is that the alleged fake carmello went on several hunting sites going from place to place as he got banned. Now the "real" Carmello has gone back to several of those places to advertise his web site. I guess I'm just confused about how the "real" Carmello knew every place the "fake" Carmello went. I'm even further befuddled by the fact that both the fake and the real Carmello use the same guns and had the same interests and now use the same web sites. I would think it highly suspect that a man who had his ID ripped off and had his name made that much of on so many sites would then utilize those very same web sites ! Then there was the recent postings by the "real" Carmello on another site where he was inferring that he had taken his 45-70 to Africa. Now he just sorta forgot to mention that he never used it. So ray I'd say you hit the nail on the head when you said a leopard never changes its spots. But I garuntee you my friend that when he's been tracked and shot at he will get more cunning. I believe the whole thing is BS but I've been wrong before. I would agree with Ray that every one deserves a chance to redeem themself. This is the only thing after nearly a year here that I can ever remember dissagreing about with either Bob or Ray. In either event I had a helluva good laugh seeing Carmello as the voice of reason and experience as the moderator on a African forum !

Okay..... Well, I guess everyone on here will never agree about this issue. And, I think no one will ever know the complete story about the troll/hacker carmelo. I'm sorry now that I brought it up. However, the problem carmelo has gone away and that's what really matters. Back to hunting and shooting topics....

Bob, no need to be sorry on my behalf. I think the origional poster was just trying to point out that the allegedly new Carmello is posting on the very same topics as the old. Pretty unusual for some one who claims his IP was hijacked etc. Carmello is like a little kid that got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and trying to tell you at the same time he didn't take the cookies ! I also steer clear of those trying to sell oceanfront in Arizona.

Proberbly the same as you did, how did you know about the "real Carmello" going to several websites, you visited them, it aint very difficult to surf to a number of popular sites, so I dont see any conspiracy going on really.

I dont believe we need the CIA to investigate any further

Hi Carmelo

I guess the reason for keeping the thread going is that some of us are just plain [ lazy nerdy layabouts ] with nothing better to do than surf the hunting FORUMS and talk to others with like interests, it must be our miss spent childhood catching up with us

Hope you are keeping well and dreaming of Africa again.

Keep safe and good hunting as always

Peter

Thanks Peter!

All is well here in Chicago despite my idiotic miss on a nice size buck this past Saturday....

Other than that visions of Africa float through my head almost every waking hour of the day...

Hoping to make it back there this spring!
