George:

Just think, if you hadn't offered a "limit of ten" you couldn't have given any away.

We had 350 members at the gun club and barely keeping the place open. Decided we'd up it to 400, no takers for 3 years. Then someone had the bright idea of putting a max limit on how many could join. Everyone got off their asses then and there was 560 on the waiting list. Now it's been upped several times to 1000 and still a waiting list. We voted down an increase to 1200 last year. I won't make the meeting this year, am curious to find out what they vote on this time.

Wish you well, enjoyed the warthog vid.
George

No Shane my Ph's mom did.She is an artist. Her signature is on the sketch(below the tail of the ele on the right).I did the letters and the baobab fruit on some digital art software.I also fitted the artwork to the template. It may look simple but it took me a few days to learn how to do the whole thing.

Just watched Into the Baobabs! It's like being on the hunt. Thank you George. My 6 yr. old daughter especially liked the recovery with the villagers. I was bombarded with questions throughout. If you ever get to the Ohio country I owe you a steak and beer. Well done and thanks again.

I need some help, What am I doing wrong?
I got the vid yesterday and tried to watch it today. When I put it directly into the TV, I get a screen that the flash driveer is not installed (but I've used it before, so I know that it works). I put it into my computer and the computer wants to format it but I'm afraid to do this without some guideance.
Should I let the computer format the flash drive and risk loosing everything?
Obvously I'm "computer challanged".

George........... the flash drive of Into the Baobabs arrived today. We watched it at lunch and enjoyed it very much, in fact my wife said she enjoyed it so much more than many of the commercial hunting videos with all the chest thumping and "look at me" people.

I am sure our spring bear hunters will really enjoy watching your video.

Thanks very much, your generosity is appreciated.

Kelly

When I did not have the video in 1080 the USB worked in both in back of a TV and on windows. When I converted to 1080 I could not upload it onto USB unless I formatted differently.I just tried it on windows and it does not work.At the moment from what I see,it only works on apple.

keep in mind that just because a TV has a USB port does not mean it will just play whatever you pop in there. You may need another device (Roku, Bluray Player, etc...) to view files from a USB device.

I too am a Windows user and initially could not get my PC to even recognize the USB as being formatted.

There is a free program called HFSExplorer that will allow you to open the USB. I also had to download Java to make HFS to work.

HFSExplorer has four apps within it. Use the Explorer. Under FILE in the top menu select "load system file from a device" or Ctrl+L. Then click the button to allow it to autodetect the device. It should find the USB. You can then play a or extract the MOV file to your PC. At that point you can watch the MOV file as you would any other video file on your PC.

I watched part of the video as my time is a bit limited today. Top notch production.

At what range did you take the first shot?

As big as the ele's are, I am impressed by how much the two insurance shots move that mass when the elephant is down on the ground.
