Mike,

On your crocodile it looks like you made a frontal brain shot? Where do you hold for a frontal on a croc?
Oh and BTW
What was that thing you used to shot it with. It kind of looked like a rifle but more like a light saber, wizards wand cross, it wasn't one of those Blahhh Zeros was it? Wink

What wonderful footage. I faced my one and only elephant charge with PH Frik Muller Jr. This year. What a wonderful experience it was. Unfortunatly our Camera man had a malfunction. So this is very great to see. I can see where the law of averages could eventually catch up with a guy. Better than being in a hospice with a terminal illness.!

At the 5:00 min mark, did the rifle double or was it two quick pulls of a single trigger gun?

On thinking about it all afternoon, I just have to comment on the client running away with his rifle in his hand ,leaving the PH to face the charge alone. Quite a legacy to live with, not on that I want. He better stick to tamer endeavors.

Yes, it was a frontal. Just hold right between the eyes. It helps for frontal shots on croc to be using a magical weapon like I was carrying. Sometimes just pointing it at game is enough to kill them.

You have never heard of the elephant hunting technique of firing both barrels simultaneously? No, it was absolutely a 100% shooter mistake. I pulled the front trigger and strummed the rear trigger.

Great pick me up. Thanks.

At the 3:44 mark, loved the tracker putting his fingers in his ears for a bow hunter.

Thank you as it was very entertaining and interesting!!! As I have stated before your shooting and others as well with a great company like CMS have set the bar very high in the hunts offered and the hunter's abilities portrayed. I wonder when I watch this could I do as well as you and others did??? Probably not as at very the least I would have had to shoot many more times to get the same effect.

In closing it would be so neat to do as well as you did in front of some of the real men in this world that take hunters into dangerous game adventures.

Good luck in your upcoming hunts and please try to share them as I and probably many others so look forward to hearing and seeing of your success.

Wow, great stuff, sitting in Frankfort airport now, waiting for plane to J'berg. Short hop to Windhoek, and then Sunday I'll be looking around the trees in the Caprivi area again.

Not that anyone was counting Mike, but Dayum, that was a lot of elephant! Nice shooting too.

Amazing video. The shot at 10:00 is notable for two reasons: a) The look on Buzz's face when he turns to the camera and b) the momentum of the elephant is clearly visible when he hits the ground. Reminds me of Don Heath's incident on the charging elephant and its momentum after the brain shot which resulted in Don being hit and his arm broken. Elephant hunting isn't for the weak of constitution or those who suffer incompetent bowels.
