I just ordered this dvd; has anyone viewed it yet? Is this a Safari Classics Productions product? If so it will be first rate, I'm sure. I guess it is a dvd about the Dangerous Seven and I can't wait to see it.

Dave FulsonHi Men ( and ladies ) Yes, Beasts Of Legend-Hunting Africa's Dangerous Game with Ivan Carter is a Safari Classics production. It is shot through the eyes of professional hunter Ivan Carter and really captures Ivan's passion and insight into the adventure that is dangerous game hunting. This film is dedicated to the Big 5, and the aquatics so it's more of a Deadly 7 film.
We are really proud of this film and believe Ivan's insight, enthusiasm, and straight talk will be enjoyed by all our AR friends. The run time is approx. 2 hours and 45 minutes. I really like the blend of info and hunting in this film and I hope you will agree .
As always, we value your business, opinions, but most of all your friendship guys. Please come by the booth at DSC and Vegas and say hello. Make sure you introduce yourself as a AR brother , as so many folks here use a handle instead of a name.

Does Ivan Carter shoot an unusual number of elephants in self defense or are you mentioning the video sales?
Just wondering....
14 December 2011, 09:24
ivan carterzzz- good question , i have shot 4 elephants in ten years in self defence that i didnt intend to shoot - only two captured on film, yes i do shoot elephants close up and yes many of them have ended up being in confrontational situations - mostly when hunting cows in the valley - if you hunt them enough well yes , some are going to try and get you - only one unwounded bull charged and i had to shoot it , actually on a photo safari in kazuma pan in the 90's- of course no cameraman - !!!
i hope that you will all enjoy the dvd , there are several great PHs featured , lots of great hunting and lots of great big game areas highlighted -
see you at the shows and thanks for your support -

So you are telling me shipping a DVD to Alaska is so much more that it will bankrupt your business. No worries, I'll give my money to someone at SCI and carry it home.

ExpressYourselfNo Frostbit we regularly ship to Alaska and Hawaii at no additional charge on most of our items. DVDs are certainly one of those items.

Shawn,
Thanks for the clarification and the PM with explanation. As I explained in the PM. Alaskans many times get hammered with increased shipping costs. For large items or anything that has to go UPS or FedEx we expect that but there is no reason for a DVD to cost more to us then to the lower 48.
As I said, thanks for the clarification. I see it in the Classified section on AR all the time as well. No reason for Brass that can go into a USPS flat rate box to cost any different or the ad to say "continental US only".
I have bought on the classifieds and when the seller didn't realize shipping might be higher for a larger item I have always contributed to the adjustment. It's the cost of living here. But not for a DVD.
Cheers
Jim

Ah, yes, an international man of mystery, and of many faces, to be sure. More a Pink Panther type than a Bond, however...

Received my DVD today. Through the Buffalo and Leopard it is fantastic. Should be working instead of watching, but couldn't wait. The videography is stunning.

Finished the DVD yesterday evening and found it, overall, a very entertaining and informative video. Beautiful old Rhino Bull as well as the other members of the big five. Crock and Hippo don't do much for me, but the scenes were well done. This DVD also captures the changes in the areas as the year goes on with some brilliant videography. Lynn Taylor's buffalo was one of the few captured on video that looked as close as it was.
It was a great early Christmas present and makes me want to go Elephant hunting.
Thanks for all that you do to make our time between hunts pass a little quicker and keep the flame burning until the next time, and the next time annnnnnnnddddddddddd.

ExpressYourselfWe are having a great response to this video both domestically and from our international clients. I thought our initial order from Safari Classics Productions would keep us going for a couple of weeks but we have torn through the bulk of the supply in just two days. We have a few DVDs remaining so I spoke with Dave today and Safari Classics has expedited another order to us so we remain well stocked. We can continue to get these out to you without delay.

I watched the video tonight and enjoyed it. It was all new footage to me as I don't get Tracks Across Africa.
