Thinking about trying a pair, but my first impression is that toe cover and all those straps are going to collect every pebble, grass seed, and stick in sight.

Curious if anyone has used them to hunt in, and are they trash collectors?

Will:

Last August I posted a product review of Keen sandals that I had just purchased and you were the first to say they probably would just collect debris and that you preferred Tevas unless in thorn country.

That being said, they do have a tendency to collect and retain seeds, grass, etc. You have to remove the sandal to get the debris out.

They are very comfortable and I like them for general wear but I just don't think they are the ticket for hunting as I had originally hoped for. They would be good for groomed trails, hard pack surfaces, etc.

Regards,

RCG

RCG,

Thanks. You mean sometimes my whining turns out to be true? Wink

Every once in awhile I stub a toe so I thought maybe I'd try them. What the hell, I'll try them and see what happens.

I don't wear sandals -- for any reason.

I’ll stick with my Rockies sandals. Now if I could just get them in the US...

I would hunt in them but not in Africa. Too many thorns and biting things.
