Tim HeraldOff for leopard hunt in about 6 hours!!!
Finally, the day has come. I am out of here for Namibia in about 6 hours. Hopefully I come back with Mr. Spots in the salt.
To all here for advice thanks. For a few of you here that helped me in my mad scramble the past 2 days thinking maybe the trip was not going to happen- THANKS is just not enough. Your willingness to help my situation will always be incredibly appreciated.
Gotta go...
Good Hunting,
Tim Herald

eyedocBEST OF LUCK-Will be watching for your return with a leopard and a story to go with it.
We seldom get to choose
But I've seen them go both ways
And I would rather go out in a blaze of glory
Than to slowly rot away!

Tim HeraldChecking in from the International Lounge in Atlanta...I must say, this is much better than the normal Sky Clubs. Decent wine, shrimp, smoked salmon...not a bad way to spend a layover.
As of now, the flight is on time with 2.5 hours to go. I am a bit concerned as my cameraman only has about 1.5 hours of layover here. Hope he isn't delayed and his bags make the transfer. No idea why anyone would book a connection to Africa so tight...
Thanks for all the well wishes...

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.
