I was advised that these hunts are not legal for foreign hunters to perform, is this not the case?
Ration quota becomes available from time to time. If you are in camp when it does, you can take advantage of it. Ration hunts are different from PAC. You are getting the two confused.

AnotherAZWriterOkay, I just watched my recorded episode of TAA. Normally I watch Monster Fish on Friday nights, but based on what you guys said, I selected TAA.
WOW!!! Way to go Dave and Ivan. I loved the show. You profiled two guys that booked during the DCS convention = real guys paying real money.
And could those guys shoot! Dave, you sure you didn't use some artistic editing??
I even caught myself replaying one of the commercials - the one where the skier goes over the cliff with the camera - that was almost better than the elephant hunting, but then, maybe only ScottyBoy and I can appreciate that.
I even liked the Hornady logo on Ivan's shirt - that logo hasn't changed, and is a bridge to my youth, when I dreamed of hunting in Africa.
Well done guys!

ivan carterThanks for all the compliments people , its much appreciated -
the next six months will see our cameramen following many
normal, everyday, skinny, fit good looking non wealthy hard working people who paid for their own hunts

, through several African countries , just looking at their schedules we have
CAR - lord derby eland and other game
TANZANIA - both massailand and the west
ZIMBABWE - zambezi valley and some in the south
BOTSWANA - delta and the northeast
SOUTH AFRICA - eastern cape
so its a busy few months and we hope to bring you great variety of hunt species and terrain
for those of you with the shows on your radar - please stop by and shake hands at the booth in DSC next week it will be great to meet you !

MartyI just watched the recorded show, and I'm impressed. Real hunting, great footage, and didn't watch like an infomercial. My only disapointment was that I couldn't find a hi-def broadcast on DirecTV. I'll be watching these, and looking forward to it.

MikeBurkeI just watched what I am assuming to the the second show of the season. Two German hunters with Owen Lewis as their PH.
I found it to be well done as was the first show. The luggage commercial had some good tips.
Keep up the good work.

Max TraumaI am always happy to see tracks. More so after seeing 10 episodes of bowhunting whitetails in a row. I do not know about you guys but I am totally sick of whitetail bowhunting shows taking up so much airtime.

465H&HI too wondered about the number of elephant charges that they had on that show. Must be awfully cheeky elephants there. Was Ivan selecting elephants that he thought would charge based on their behavior? In one, it appeared they said that they were targeting the matriarch of the herd. I always thought that was a no no. Ivan, correct me if I misunderstood.

The new version of the show is outstanding.....The footage and editing were top notch as always.....The biggest kudos are for the two fellows hunting. They were prepared, familiar with
their weapons, knew how to use them, were not decked out like Stewart Granger, and their shooting was top notch. They approached with confidence and attended to business. Both were using doubles. Two very impressive hunters.......Congratulations to Ivan and Dave.
+1
Dave,
Congrats! I'm agreeing with KPete that we need more info on the weapons! Yeah that's it for critisism......that's all I have.........that's pretty damn good!!!

Rhyme of the Sheep Hunter
May fordings never be too deep, And alders not too thick; May rock slides never be too steep And ridges not too slick.
And may your bullets shoot as swell As Fred Bear's arrow's flew; And may your nose work just as well As Jack O'Connor's too.
May winds be never at your tail When stalking down the steep; May bears be never on your trail When packing out your sheep.
May the hundred pounds upon you Not make you break or trip; And may the plane in which you flew Await you at the strip.

AnotherAZWriterI watched the latest one last night. I thought the perfunctory sight in sessions were a thing of the past, but I guess not...
I will say I really liked how Ivan explained how the two ele hunters booked their hunts; that should be a staple of the show. I would have enjoyed hearing more of that from the German hunters.
I also much prefer the new introduction.
I liked watching the German hunters. I hunted in Austria a few years ago (during that volcanic eruption in Iceland) and really like the Germanic traditions of hunting. Dave, you guys should have showed some of that.
All in all, a much better show than watching Makris blab for 25 minutes about some chief and then shoot a cow waterbuck and a so so pig. What are we...a deer hunting show?? I find myself watching less and less of him and Chris Dorsey. Dave, thanks for giving us new faces. It might be easier for you to whack everything, but it would be a boring show.
