Well my final 16 days of exercise are of such...I walk 5 miles a day..I carry my double and ammo belt filled...I shoot both my 450#2 and 458 Lott to condition myself to the recoil..
I am also riding my bike 7 miles a day and work out with 2---10 lb. dumbells...

Hey Mike, not to jinx you or anything, but I always worry the last few weeks before a trip about doing something stupid...like wrecking on my bike. Big Grin

Seriously, at this point you are in as good a condition as you are going to be (which is more then good I am sure!), so just look to maintain and stay healthy!

Mike, you have somehow managed to get a lot of us excited for you. I don't know how . . . Big Grin

Anyway, don't wear yourself out, please! And save some ammo for the safari!

Or break your foot, like I did today!!

Yep, a few hours ago I was getting off of the tractor, left foot hit the ground, ankle let go & foot rolled all the way onto the outside edge. I felt a "SNAP", and was rolling on the ground. My dad was there & saw it all. He said I couldn't have done anything, as all I did was step off of the tractor (I didn't jump). So I limped to the tailgate of the truck, thinking "Hmmm, this doesn't hurt as bad as I thought it should", and popped my shoe off. Right away I knew I was in trouble. Even through my sock I saw that I had a third ankle! Eeker

Off comes the sock to reveal a rapidly swelling lump on the outside of my foot. Luckily I was near my sister's house, and within 15 minutes I had my foot submerged in ice water. Kept it there for two hours too. And took a couple ibuprofen for good measure.

Still it's obvious that something let go. The swelling is spreading. It was a "knot" earlier right after it happened, now it's a big "lump" that has spread to about triple it's initial size.

I'm hoping that it's just a good sprain, and not actually broken, but it's in my foot, not my ankle. What could I sprain there?

Looks like I get a few days off! Razzer

Be careful Mike, don't do what I just did.....

I have to say it, since I'm superstitious.

Mike, "Break a leg."

Cold Bore, if it starts to turn purple, see a doc.

Oh, it is.....

A very attractive shade of grape I might add....

I've always been a little hardheaded when it comes to stuff like this. I'll see how it feels in the morning (like I don't already know).
