My buddy and I just got back from Kimberley. We had a great hunt with muzzleloaders and did preyy good. While we didn't shoot a lot of animals, we did get good film and had a lot of fun. Here are my pics. I also shot a bigger red hartebeest, but he had to be dispatched after I left. .......wapiti7

Well, as I was not happy at all with our PH, I will not recommend him. However, his animal quality was good and we shot 9 animals. My partner collected a 29" blue wildebeest, 23" Impala, 37" gemsbok and a 12" common springbok. My red was 21" and the other one is bigger. The black spring is 12" and the steenbok is 4 and 4 1/4. No bags lost and no pyrodex was confinscated, so it was pretty smooth. We stayed at the afton house and then went on to Kimberley. Of course we had a plane load on hunters to chat with along the way and the airbus was a little better with some missing rows. Our hunt will air on CedarSpur Outdoors on MOR the last 2 weeks of september.

Nice pics. Tell us who the PH was and why you were unhappy with him. After all, that's what this forum is all about, to relate both the good and bad and in doing so, help others to make informed decisions based, in part, upon the experiences of others.

Ok-do-ke We hunted at Ft. Richmond Safaris. As I said before, the animal quality was good but there were things that were not. Being involved in the families daily stuff was not good. Since they own the ranch, they all live there. Also, our tracker was very lazy and unmotivated. The positive was the the ph's wife was a good cook. All in all, I would not go back there.
We would like to goto Zim next or Namibia, so I'll be searching for some details soon.....wapiti7
