Don't know if many of you out there use Stewart bullets, (as recommended in Kevin Robertson's "The Perfect Shot"), but I've just had some made to my own design for my .500 Jeffrey........and they're bloody amazing. I had lunch with Ken Stewart a weeks ago (as I passed through Pietersburg on my way to a hunt in Botswana) and we discussed my requirements and on my return from that hunt I was able to meet him again for lunch where he delivered my bullets to me. I loaded them up and used them on my next Botswana hunt which I've just returned from. To say they perform well would be a vast understatement. Ken will make ANY case for ANY calibre you like and ANY bullet profile for ANY calibre you want and his prices are excellent. For any of you from the UK who are faced with the silly non expanding bullet requirement he is also developing a great solution to your problems. Ken can be a bit hard to get hold of at times, but if anyone out there needs to make an order or just discuss a new idea, just let me know and I'll be happy to be his link man with the "modern world of e-mail" .........I won't take a cut of any kind, I'll just be happy to help. Hi, I will go hunting with Ken Stewart tomorrow! First have a look at his factory. He has made some solid Bronze bullets that i will test in my .404. later on. This time the .404 is loaded with Kens 425 grains Performer softpoints. Ken also makes cases for my 9,3x63. Ganyana -I will give a 9.3x63 round to Ken that you can pick up when you meet him. Thats all from Centurion, RSA Husky

Quote: Hm. I won't generalize, but I have also heard mixed reports about Romey in Germany. The guy is a bit conceited. What about Horneber cases ? Carcano

I'll stick with the Stewart cases & bullets. They're relatively local, relaible and cheap. .....the Romey ones were obscenely expensive and I had to buy them as loaded rounds.

I have used Horneber brass for more than 20 full power reloads in my 577 Neck annealing is done after every 5 reloads. Very good brass - in fact the best I have tried..

I've just been looking at my records, and find that so far the Wolfgang Romey cases I've (also) been using seem to fail on the shoulder between 4 & 5 reloads. The stewart cases have been reloaded (on average) about 8 or 9 times and so far I haven't had a single failure.
