Bill Stewart's: "Elephants and Elephant guns"

About 100 pages into it so far.

What's your opinions on this guy and book etc?
Don't know as I've read his other book/s.

Very good, based on his experiences. Bill is an engineer with an eye for detail. Worth reading. It is not a "I went there and shot that". Think of Pondoro Taylor when you read Bill. Pondero was not my favorite person, but a good writer. Also think of Doctari the writer of the various shot placement books on African animals.

I enjoy Bill's posts here and thoroughly enjoyed both of his books. I wish I had the time/money to do half of the African hunting that he has.

I've got Bill's books, along with a lot of the other stuff that he hawks on AR Bay. He does make a good belt and wallet. Big Grin I understand that he has recently revised one of his books and has a new edition out for sale. (See his current listing in AR Bay)

Hmmmmm, ok, since he posts here.

What's his handle etc?

Am enjoying his writing. Tells it
the way HE has experienced. IF you
don't like it or agree, "am just
sharing my experiences and preferences".

That's the way a book should be written imo.

Not trying to sell or push things. Nor a brand/name dropper like most do.

Thank you fellows, appreciate the input.

I believe it is just "Will" but I may be wrong. I have bought books and at least a red dirt elephant passport wallet from him.

He might even sell you a mule, if you're of a mind to buy one. He also sells chinks...

ahhhh, thanks guys.

Don't know why I hadn't connected
Bill with Will the elephant leather
products guy on the ad's.

Ok, got it now.

Was thinking "Will" is 90+y.old the
way he's written to Ray.
Sure didn't look like he was that old
in 2010 in these book pictures.
Very good book full of useful info.

Appreciate the heads up.

George
