L. David Keith300 calibers are way over kill on Springbok. Anything in the .22 centerfire is plenty for them. You won't waste any of that delicious meat and the entry/exit hole is tiny. I've seen 7mm through 300 mags blow them into yesterday. The tissue disruption and bruising of the cape can result in lots of hair slip, let alone making the sewing job unpleasant to impossible for your Taxidermist. Adult Springbok are the size and weight of a yearling Pronghorn Antelope kid.

Every morning the Zebra wakes up knowing it must outrun the fastest Lion if it wants to stay alive. Every morning the Lion wakes up knowing it must outrun the slowest Zebra or it will starve. It makes no difference if you are a Zebra or a Lion; when the Sun comes up in Africa, you must wake up running......

I am not familiar with This particular company but, David put me onto a great location on the cape where I took a variety of plainsgame. I had taken my .375 and used the 260 grain Partition for the larger game including Gemsbok, Kudu, Black Wildebeast and could have included Blue Wildebeast, Zebra, Eland, Waterbuck and Hartebeast. I used a .223 which my PH brought for me and took Blesbok, Impala, Warthog, Duiker Steinbuk, bushbuck and missed a very nice Mountain Reedbuck.
My shooting was terrible but there was game aplenty to choose from and I never saw that the .223 or a 30.06 with heavier bullets wouldn't have been adequate.
All my trophies were wonderful but this was special to me.
After watching the herds of springbuck run wildly off in the distance we sat near a large shrub to wait there passing. I asked my PH if they had ever seen Springok with horns touching in the center. He stated that was rarely the case and not ten minutes later told me turn around and shoot my trophy.
About 50 yards walking quickly away. Hard to fathom.
You won't be sorry you add the cape. I did it a couple of weeks before leaving for Zimbabwe.
David will really take care of you. He also hooked me up with Johan Van de Merwe who handled the Dip and Pack and sent me skull mounts which were ready to display.
