1) 423-380 Soft point recovered from pile of crap in previos post.

2) Recovered 475-500FPS (flat point solid). Shot dead buff in the butt. Ray said he shot it center paunch, recovered up in the neck,

3)475-500CPS recovered from buff. Took out both shoulders, same bullet as other photo.

4,5,6) 475-500 CPS. Ray was shooting these at 2000fps because he sadid 2300+ was not any fun. Ray said it seemed the faster ones penetrate better as he only recovered one 423CPS that were launched at ~2500fps.

The left bullet is a recovered .475-500gr CPS (cup point solid). The center is an unfired .475-500gr CPS. The one on the right is a recovered .423-380CPS. Shoulder shots on buffalo.

Thanks Kevin..

These new Northfork cup points will do everything a solid will do and even expand a little in the process, they kill extremely well..I believe them to be a revolutionary bullet, the best design for killing buffalo to ever come down the pike..As to elephant, I doubt that they would better a solid, but they would penitrate straight and reach the brain from any decent angle I believe. I will leave it for someone else to try on elephant..They all penitrated in a straight line on buffalo, and they penitrated in a direct line in every case.

No need for a soft and/or a solid, just use the cup points..I will be using them exclusively from now on and they work great on plainsgame, even Impala...and you always get two holes and lots of blood....

I am totally sold on them, they are a very exciting bullet..My only recommendation is to drive them as fast as possible..I will shoot them at 2245 FPS in my .470 from now on..They performed to perfection at 2400 FPS and 2600 FPS in my 404 Jefferys. I had two 404s loaded at 2000 FPS for test and shot them into a dead Buff, both shots entered the flank and exited the off side shoulder darn it and I only had two for that specific purpose, so I did not recover them, but both exit holes were nicle size...

Give Mike a call and have him get these great bullets in production for next season, you too will be impressed with their performance on game of any kind..I would not hesitate to shoot Lion, or any of the big 5 with them.
