I roped 10 steers at the Sunday roping on the first go, and came back the second go around with 7 (called "call backs" if you catch), made the final go, then it started raining, got chilled, and missed all in the finals, but thats really good for me, We sat in the back of the trailer and drank cool Coors the rest of the day and watched my daughter win it all...Had Fajitas, frijoles, flour tortillas and Chile Reyanos and more Coors later that evening...

I am plenty sore today as thats just too many cattle to rope at my age, but I loved every minute of it and my grandson said, "Boy pop, you were on fire for awhile, you just wore yourself down", that made it all OK... Today even my eyebrows are sore bawling, but at my age I think the good Lord I can still get on a horse, and for grandchildren, It just doesn't get any better until next week end, maybe it won't rain.. beer

Give Hessa a hug from Uncle Ray....
