Charl: Some advice for you my brother. Let it go. People will say whatever they want about you on the Internet, for one reason. Because "they can." You can't punch them, nor strike them back through your keyboard. It's not worth your time of day to get worked up, about some unidentified poster, who made disparaging comments about you. Just go on about your day, and realize at this point in life, he said some messed up stuff about you, took a cheap shot at you and he's not a fan of yours. Think of the thousands of other people in life who respect you, and respect the good work you've done in life.

Is it really worth getting your dander up about just this one guy "Zimguide", who you don't even know? Let it go Charl. He's not worth your energy.

You're a good man and go make it a great day.

Warmest Regards,

Calm down & count your BLESSINGS.
Apparently many people like you, forget the weasel's that don't.

Charl - I don't think Zimguide is a bad guy, I think he's just very frustrated with alot of the crimes against wildlife, which are taking place in Zim. Frankly, so are alot of us, but the problem goes way beyond the SA - PH's who are often times to "blame".

Zim's wildlife/parks dept is ultimately responsible, but it is a shame that folks out there are willing to take advantage of the problems. Both SA and Zim people are guilty of that, and Zimguide see's the destruction first-hand. Thus his great frustration, IMO.

Charl, probably just a concerned Zimbabwean pro guide really worried about all the illegal hunts being offered/ sold/ conducted by various people, I wouldn't take it seriously or personally.

+ 1 An I can remember recently a prominent Zimbabwean Outfitter offering Hunts in Whange.

We are all professionals with the same goal and name calling and blind accusations does little to help solve the problem its only starting crap.

+1 Charl let it go.Let your reputation and your honesty speak for you mate. tu2

Jee wiss boys thanks,

I am just so fed up with every second guy, and not only on the itnernet, bad mouthing SA PH's and our industry, while we all fight to keep it above water.

I must also say honestly, that I'm curious as to what this guy do for a living.

Zim guide PM'ed me with a very good apology. I accpeted and suggested a more constructive way of weeding the bad stuff out.

I culled Impala the whole night last night, and enjoyed it a lot. From the back of the truck with a little .222 only head shots. Then this morning I woke up to this bullshit.

You all should see all the PM's and even a couple of phone calls I got from other South Africans. After my post that is. A lot of guys took that one personaly.

Any case, thanks again for the words of advise.

Charl,

I can totally understand why you are mad. The "invariably of Afrikaans decent" was particularly uncalled for. But Moja and others have given good advice. Forget about it. You have friends here and the PMs and the telephone calls prove it.

Zimguide is not a bad fellow...just highly frustrated and rightfully so.

Charl,
Imagine waking up this morning without shooting last night and having to spend 1/2 the day on the phone trying to get a bank wire to go through to South Africa. Wink

Don
