I wanted to share with you guys some developments from the DSC Frontline Foundation in regards to assisting the Chiarellifamily as well as some additions to the Frontline Foundation Mission Statement. In an attempt to address the service and risk involved in today’s fight against well armed international poaching syndicates, the DSC Frontline Foundation is proud to announce the expansion of its mission statement to include coverage for injury or death of PH’s and staff arising while providing anti poaching duties, as well as benefits for survivors of government agents, rangers, and game scouts who are killed while preforming anti-poaching duties. The Directors of the DSC Frontline Foundation have approved a plan to provide assistance to the family of Claudio Chiarelli, the respected professional hunter who was tragically killed, along with his son Max, while providing anti-poaching services in Zimbabwe last month. The DSC Frontline Foundation will match donations in an amount up to $10,000.00 and will forward 100% of all donations to Mr. Chiarelli’s survivors. You can make a donation by going to www.dscfrontlinefoundation.org and following the Support Us link. The actions of Claudio and Max are not uncommon in Africa, but are typically done with little fanfare or recognition. Those actions evidence one more example of the commitment and assumption of often-extreme risks by these dedicated professionals. Please help the DSC Frontline Foundation express our thanks and gratitude to the Chiarelli family for the sacrifices paid by Claudio and Max by making a donation for Claudio’s benefit. Donations by US citizens are deductible under Section 170 of the Internal Revenue Code. Dave Fulson

This is great, but I'd like to talk to folks who are involved to see if we could get a life insurer involved. Would safari companies charge a specific fee of $50 or so to clients to get the insurance? Would insurance companies sell the coverage? Hoping to talk to one carrier next year to see if there is an interest. The carrier can't make money on this unless no one get's shot, but perhaps the opportunity to advertise on Tracks and Ivan Carter's War, might make it worthwhile if they could cross-sell. Life products to hunters and other products -- gun insurance, trip insurance, evacuation, etc.
