Well this is my quinquennial (every 5 years) posting for my anniversary on Accurate Reloading.

In 2002 I was looking for a reloading website and stumbled on AccurateReloading.com. Little did I know that joining this site would bring back all the memories of reading Capstick, Corbett, Selous, Bell, etc. in the Lompoc (CA) public library when I was an impressionable youngster.

This site led me to book my once in a lifetime hunt on my 50th birthday with one of the outfitters who posted on here and then made me book safaris 2, 3 and 4, all with AR member outfitters so it’s definitely the catalyst to my addiction.

My thanks to Saeed for providing the forum that we all enjoy so much and to Don and the moderators for trying to control this insane asylum. I’ve really enjoyed interacting with so many different peoples and cultures as I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some great people from all over the U.S, (and Texas), New Zealand, Australia, England, Germany and other places, and made some lifelong friends.

Thanks also to most of the contributing members (Some of you are real buttheads so you’re not included) for all the camaraderie over the last 15 years and I hope to enjoy at least another 15 years on AR.

Frank

The general consensus is that you've got the best avatar image on AR.

Frank, yes, thanks for your contributions here over the years -- and as analog notes, for one of the great avatars.
I am coming up on 18 years this June, and would not have gone to Namibia in 2007 if not for the folks here and their willingness to share knowledge and encouragement.

Fjold, thanks for all of your insightful posts and great information you've shared.
Your story about AR resonates well with me, I've been a contributor on here for about 12 years or so and through AR I've met and hunted with some great friends including my first trip to Africa.
Thanks to all of you for making AR a great forum to hang out in.

Already I was beginning to fall into the African way of thinking: That if
you properly respect what you are after, and shoot it cleanly and on
the animal's terrain, if you imprison in your mind all the wonder of the
day from sky to smell to breeze to flowers—then you have not merely
killed an animal. You have lent immortality to a beast you have killed
because you loved him and wanted him forever so that you could always
recapture the day - Robert Ruark

Congratulations on your 15th. Anniversary, I am working on my 12th., but in all reality I am wondering if having spent that much time on this place is something to celebrate.

Frank;

You're my senior my 1 year rotflmo

Funny: You booked your once in a lifetime 50th birthday safari...that's how I became addicted to Africa as well!

Here's to you celebrating many more years!
