I hunted in the BVC in 2014 and there was a lion that had one eye out. It had healed and he was healthy. Anybody who thinks nature is soft and cuddly has not been out there.

Ive seen Lions and other animals with a face full of dried blood, maybe and eye out and puss running sores, even deer in NA..usually has to do with the rut.
