Has the trial started yet? Any results yet?

There are two trials.

Re Cecil, he applied to the High Court to have the charges dropped because all the negative publicity was violating his human rights or some such BS. That has not been successful, and he is due back in court on 31 March on the "failure to prevent an illegal hunt" charge.

Re the smuggled sable, his legal team was put on the back foot by evidence led in a very well-presented state case in Beitbridge a few weeks ago. Judgement has not been made yet.

He is not a happy guy right now.
