I love good handmade leather boots and plan to utilise some of my Matetsi bull's hide. Any recommendations for US leather processor?

I have had elephant hide tanned by Speciality Leather. I have also had raw hides swapped for tanned hides in Zim. The leather tanned in Zim is far superior. Not only is it more pliable but they must have better equipment for splitting the hides because you end up with fewer holes. The leather Speciality Leather did for me had a number of small holes that looked like they came from problems in splitting the hide. Mike

When you have your leather tanned, send it to Gary Loveless of Loveless Boots. I had him make two pairs for me, a pair of cowboy boots and a pair of hunting boots. They do really good work. Pete

I also used Specialty Leather for my Eland hide. Very well done.
