For those of you out there who would are coming out to hunt in South Africa and would like to do your own firearm import permits have a look below - it has all of the information that you need. Make sure that you have all the information required with you on person when arriving at Johannesburg - You need to take it all and hand it into the South African Police Official who will then process it, once you guns arrive and your paperwork is completed you will recieve your temporary import permit for your rifles, make sure that you take this with you and that it stays with you at all times while you are in South Africa.

If you have a connecting flight from Johannesburg out please make sure that you have enough time the process can take from 30 minutes to 2 hours - depending on how many aircraft arrive at the same time and the speed of the South African Police.
