Oh, thank you Mr. Gould. I'm not the only one. I mean no offense to our gracious host, nor one of his closest mates, but methinks Walter gets quite enough attention as it is.

You might spare a thought for us all here then.

You only see him when you are at the top of this page.

We see him every bloody day!!

We will have to ask him for another memorable photos.

And thinking of that, we had to dissuade him from wearing a gorilla suit to the airport this morning!!

We are going to be heading to the airport in less than an hour, and he is very bad with timing.

For the past few years, I have told him to be ready with his bags in front of his house at a specific time.

If he is not there, he stays home.

A few years ago he tried a new trick.

He wasn't at the door, and he did not answer his door bell.

We left and went to the airport.

And guess what?

Yep, he was already there.

He said he was just checking if we would leave him behind, and all his worst fears were realized.

He has been very prompt ever since.

Saeed i like your approach.

I do the same for family dinners. a time is set and we eat and those that are continually late get the left overs. You know as time went on they starting making it on time..

What is the world coming to?
I agree with Shootaway.
I've been here for six years (approximately) and still don't know who this Walter is. Is he a rich guy's sidekick and hanger on?
When I first saw the photo I thought it was the Idaho Shit Shooter.
Personally, I'd like to see it gone. Nothing personal, but it serves no purpose and the rifle is ugly.

I never get tired of it.
Great buff, great rifle, and Walter is always funny, peculiar or comic one way or another, tolerable as long as you do not have to sleep in the same tent with him.
It is a timeless classic like "Kilroy was here."
Hopefully Walter's vexations will not Kill Roy on this year's expedition,
and hopefully Roy can continue to restrain his impulses and allow Walter to return home safely.

That photo,IMO, stands for a lot of things hunting is about. A great hunt, a fine animal, friends spending time together and great sense of humour at work. What's wrong with it?

Why make snide remarks about Walter who is a very good friend of the owner of this forum?

Admittedly, I've not been a member of this forum, nor have I ever hunted in Africa....But I kinda like the picture. Actually adds to the Walter mystique (at least for those who do not know him......

The pic never fails to make me smile and I like several others would like to see it stay but it's Saeed's site and I reckon it's his decision alone to make.

As for the rifle...... I personally reckon it's a fugly thing Wink but it cannot be denied that it's very effective indeed and if it does the job as well as it does then that's the main thing. Smiler

If you keep on being this nice too Saeed maybe he will give you a job or something one day!
Is that why you REALLY agree with everything he says?

I doubt that very much with my record of undiplomatic comments. Wink

There's several things we don't agree on (his fugly rifle for example! LOL) but as I see it, Saeed owns the site and I reckon it should be entirely up to him what pics he does and does not put on it....... so it's just a case of simple good manners to our host really.
