I'm looking at an "own use" ele bull hunt in Van Heerden's Hereroland area in the Ondjou Conservancy. Has anybody hunted in that area with them? I chose that area just to be able to walk amoung the giants of the giants. I know there is little else there other than bulls, but what more do you need?

I have hunted with Hentie Van Heerden in the Caprivi and it was an excellent hunt. I have not hunted with him in Hereoland but have booked an ele hunt there with him. You can expect a good hunt with Hentie. He is a great PH and a good fellow to spend time with.

I am acquainted with Hentie, and he and I have some shared friends in the hunting industry. If I wanted to hunt in Namibia, or if I were booking a hunt for someone else in Namibia, I'd choose Hentie every time. He's a good hunter and a very nice guy. Perhaps even more telling, he's the go-to guy in Namibia for a friend who goes on multiple safaris (and sends friends/employees on many more) each year. That friend certainly doesn't waste time or money with operations that aren't first rate.

Another recommendation for Hentie. My son and I hunted with him a few years ago. No complaints, none. Nice guy and a good hunter.

I have known Hentie for almost ten years and have personally spent a few months in Namibia with him. As a character reference I cannot speak highly enough to his professionalism and hunting ability. I have not personally hunted this area, I plan on visiting the area next year. Hentie sends me updates every so often and has included pictures of some great bulls shot in the area! I'm honestly quite surprised he has a hunt to sell. He typically sells the "own use" hunts extremely fast.

From what I have heard the Van Heerdens are decent people, and everyone seems to speak highly of them.

Guys, he's referring to HENTIE VAN HEERDEN, in Namibia!!! Not the Van Heerden brothers from Zim.

I've hunted with, and booked lots of hunts for Hentie in the past 10 yrs. Very good hunt/outfitter.

My son and I shared a camp with Hentie in the Caprivi a few years ago. He was guiding other hunters.

Hentie's a good guy and he and his hunters were quite successful. I would hunt with him any time.

I hunted elephant with Hentie back in October 2011 on his Dzoti Conservancy in the Caprivi. I took 2 bulls, one trophy and one non-export. I'm going back in late August for buffalo, hippo and 2 more elephant bulls.

I can definitely recommend Hentie as a PH. He is a true professional at his craft. Hentie worked very hard on my hot October hunt. We got in real close to the bulls. It was a true thrill for me. He is a friendly guy and I enjoyed sharing camp with him. His tent camp is near the water. I got a kick out of listening to the hippos everynight from my tent.

I don't you can go wrong hunting with Hentie.

I just received an e-mail( don't know how they got my e-mail) from Barry Van Heerden offering discounted hunts in Makuti. This is not the outfitter I am asking about. Thee hunts don't sound right. What do you say?
