Jaun, I've read "Dangerous Game Rifles". Lots of practical advice in it. Enjoyed it. Surprised that Weiland didn't mention Searcy as a manufacturer of modern doubles, however. He was critical of other manufacturers, so I don't think that he was trying to be polite. Other than that it is good text. It is now on my shelf of reference materials. Not sure about his resume. I know that he is a prolific writer and appears in several shooting/hunting rags. I'm sure others can comment on his credentials. -Steve -------- www.zonedar.com If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning DRSS C&H 475 NE --------

Seemed to be a pretty good source of background information on the why and where of heavy rifle design. I'll probably refer back to it when a question comes up or just when I want an enjoyable read.

I just received it a couple of days ago. It's good. Probably the most current info (as of 2005) on available new rifles for DG. Worth the $$ IMO. Gary DRSS NRA Lifer
