Chaps I am preparing an editorial on the benefits of regulated cat hunting and would appreciate you pass on any relevant data, statistics, quotes etc regarding the subject. I am also looking for country incomes from safari hunting/game ranching, quotas and off takes of Lion and Leopard. Positive research statements would be a bonus.

Preferably not links. Rather cut and paste relevant information onto this thread for me to digest.

At the tail end of my recent Lion Hunt Report I contemplated adding:

Conservation Note: my 14 cat day hunt in the Nungo Concession effectively protected 500,000 acres of Northern Mozambique wildlife for a month. This is something very concrete which no aid agency, NGO or 'Fund' can match. Of further economic impact were the 40 local salaries the hunt paid for.

However it has triggered a positive response and I have received some great info which I can use here to clarify and promote big game hunting.

Andrew,get a copy of Peter Flacks DVD on the South African success story. The name escapes me right now but it will be available from Rowland Ward Publications. It deals mainly with RSA but it has loads of info and facts that are applicable anywhere in Africa.
