Just put up a sign stating anybody falling asleep in your class will be wake up with a strip of bacon on their forehead.
At the University of Okla. one of my profs used a squirtgun for 08:00 classes.

This has been my first Ramadan in a Muslim country and let me say that I am truly happy for The Eid to be here. I am a bit tired of my students falling asleep in class since they have been up all night eating.
