Patterson would have a mustache and a pith helmet in hand if not on head, but a good thought with maneless lion???

#24, my guess: C. Fletcher Jamieson and his 26" barreled .500 Jeffery, a "one-off" rifle made by W.J. Jeffery, one-off of the total of 24 sold between 1927 and 1940???

I don't know why I am guessing this, but I am, just to still be guessing.

In other words, ATTENTION PLEASE NICKUDU: Who is #24?

I see Fred Bear is tacked on at the end, last image is #10. thumb

WTG, Canuck. Lots of mysteries solved.

#24 looks a lot like the young George Adamson to me.

#24 is a man who should be known more widely but somehow, is not. He was Knighted for his lifelong accomplishments, not solely in Africa but also the Middle-East. A great man in many respects and beloved by ALL who knew him.

And his face as shown is almost shadowed out so this will require some detective work and use Nickudu's clues. What a tease.

Damn good show! Actually, I am in awe... cheers

But excuse my ignorance, who was Anne Matthews? She looks like a lady I should like to have a sundowner with...

Marterius,
The late Anne Matthew was the first wife of the renowned elephant hunter Harry Manners and an accomplished hunter, in her own right.
