My biggest worry traveling (international flights) is not getting covid as I am vaccinated with a booster. It is getting stranded in a government quarantine facility.
I don’t travel to any place that requires covid testing on arrival.

I spoke with Shawn Kennedy at Gracy Travel today. Delta and United are still flying to RSA without incident and US passport holder can come and go from RSA. On the return you will need a test within 24 hours of deprture and an antigen test will do.
At this point it looks like safari operators from more Northern African countries like Zambia, Tanzania and Cameroon can come to the US without issue if they follow the vax and testing guidelines.

There is widespread outrage at these travel bans. They do not work and cannot last long.
We are going in any case. We’ll at least be able to visit a half dozen national parks, including the Grand Canyon by helicopter.
But I do hope SCI announces and the bans are lifted in time to permit operators to pivot and attend. I’d like to book another buffalo hunt F2F.

I am in 10000% agreemnet with you on this. I'm vaccinated, AND had Covid. I am not worried in the least about getting it bad enough to be a problem.
Getting stuck in some third world country is a legit worry.
I am still flummoxed as to why Booking Agents are encouraging travel to these places, in these times. Most of us are older, perhaps a bit overweight and many have other health conditions.
Geeez, its just a hunting vacation. Why stress over any one single aspect of it.
