very surprised nobody has mentioned eland - one of my favorites , smart , wily and a GREAT walk and stalk animal - wherever i have hunted eland i have been rewarded with great tracking opportunities and whenever one gets a huge old blue bull its an achievement - of course i agree with the veteran croc , - for me , eland and then croc if i were to choose two seldom featured animals that present unique challenges - the truth is , i really enjoy hunting any animal where one has to employ a very specific technique or knowledge base to get the animal - not just chance happening or luck but creating a specific set of circumstances through what you wear , your technique and local knowledge is always interesting - "The greatest threat to our wildlife is the thought that someone else will save it” www.facebook.com/ivancartersafrica www.ivancarterwca.org www.ivancarter.com ivan@ivancarter.com | |||

That pretty much nails it for me. Everyone has favourites that they keep coming back to, but I find that whenever I try to hunt a specific animal, it becomes my current favourite. It is getting to the point that if I just stumble onto something, I often feel a bit let down.
