Is there or would the regulars to the forum create a glossary of terms. I'm new here and have never taken a guided hunt. I do not know what it means to "Go on the American plan" or "what trophy fees are" "Daily rate" and so on. Frankly some things are very expensive to learn the hard way. So how but it? Could the education begin here?

Welcome to the forum and you might like to visit www.shakariconnection.com where you'll find the answers to all your questions and all without any sales pitch because it's a free African information site rather than a sales site. Smiler

Glad you like it but it'll be getting even more comprehensive soon.

The site is about 500 pages now and we'll be adding several hundred more fairly soon! tu2

The proper title is 'The Kuduland Safaris, Handy Little Hunting Book' that my better half and I wrote some years ago to send to our clients as part of their safari information pack.

They got considerably more popular than we expected and the book is one of the reasons we decided to do an online version that evolved into our African hunting free information site at www.shakariconnection.com

The book is still very useful because it's small enough to slip into a shirt pocket but the website is considerably more comprehensive.
