I recently read this book and couldn't put it down. I don't know if it is publication any longer (I was given a used copy) but, although a novel, it is a page turner account of Rhodesia in the 1960's. I highly recommend it. Best regards, D. Nelson

Darin, Thanks for the book note. I literally just bought the book two weeks ago after reading about it in Sometimes When It Rains by Keith Meadows. With your endorsement it will be the next one I start! I got my copy on either Alibris or Amazon as I recall. It is out of print and so you have to track down a used copy. Wish I had run into you in Vegas. Hope all is well. Mike

Just ordered a used copy from Amazon. They had one for $415 and one for $5. ~~~ Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong. 1 Corinthians 16:13

D., I just finished Dick and Mary Cabela's newest book - "Two Hearts - One Passion, Vol. II" about their trips to Tanzania. I would recommend it as well. It is their recollections of numerous trips to Tanz to hunt lion and a host of critters. It is very insightful and not the typical hunt story.

It is such a sad thing for me though...remembering this once Great country...agriculture to rival the US...and seeing it in the shape it is in these days. Some days I think the US is headed to the same end. I fear someday there will be a thread about a similar book about the US. Ever since I read Ian Smith's book the Great Betrayal...been reluctant to read another. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ J.
