Tanzania-The safari situation in Africa, and especially in East Africa, is steadily deteriorating. Now there is a complete ban on hunting in Tanzania and elephant hunting in Kenya is forbidden. There was tremendous poaching in both countries for ivory due to fantastic prices on the foreign markets where $76 per pound of ivory was paid.

Interesting, the Angola leopard license is more than the lion and elephant. It's 3x that for a sable. Talk about price inversions in today's market.

I hunted with Sudan Safaris in '74 for quite a bit less per day that They were showing in this brochure. A. Osman must have have a different rate for every agent as I used a different one than quoted here.
