That's fine Phil - each to his own! My biz dispute with Matt was factual - but hoping for / wanting his demise is a whole different story. I still respected / hoped the best for Matt, he was a good person overall!!

What has any disagreement that happened between them then got to do with anything posted in the video??

I know Aaron, and I knew Matt... very well. Regardless of the dispute, and GOD knows I'v had my share, both still held the other in high regard, as both told me personally as each knew I was aware of their short squabble. No hidden agenda here, Aaron is, like so many of us, feeling the loss of a friend and brother hunter.

Hmmm, the thread in question between Matt and Aaron seems to be locked and 'in moderation".

Not sure I have ever seen that here.

Seems a bit odd if they had some public dispute and this video is posted immediately following his death.

What's the story since the original accounts seem to be unavailable for now?

Does digging up old issues seem like a entertaining idea as we mourn our friend?

Thanks for posting Aaron. Matt is going to be missed by many, no more than Millie and his kids. Matt was a great father and husband. Our kids are about the same age and we talked often through email about them. Matt recently sent me a video of him taking his youngest out shooting. I had actually planned on taking my oldest with Matt next June for buffalo, obviously that didn’t turn out.

I'm friends with both Matt and Aaron, and their dispute was well documented on here. I sided with Aaron and Matt new this and we talked about it. I still have an email from Matt in my inbox that I hadn’t got back to him on. The fact is friends have fights, some times they get ugly. I’m sure no one feels worse about it now than Aaron, no way he wanted it to end like this.

Matt had some problems, but don’t we all. Doesn’t change the fact he was a great husband, father and friend. The hunting community lost a good one, and I’m really really going to miss him.

If you really care about Matt I know his family is in a not very good way financially right now and can use a hand. Millie is on her own now with three kids and any help would much appreciated.

Rest in peace Matt.

Good memories with Matt in the outback.

+1, people show contrition in a variety of ways and to turn a thread intended to honor the memory of someone into a rehash of the past does no one any good in my opinion.

Larry,

I saw details on here somewhere of an account/trust that was set up. Alternatively it could be sent directly to Millie.

I talked to Grant, one of Matts guides, and he confirmed there home/business address was the same.

Hope that helps.

Below are the details of the trust fund. Not sure if you'd also need international SWIFT codes or the like. I'm sure every bit would be appreciated at this time. I know it's cracked $7K already.

Hi guys,

I have been speaking with a few of Matt's mutual friends and we have agreed to start a small trust fund to help with any of the immediate needs of Matts family and towards the expenses of the funeral that has come as a surprise to all of us.

Some of you may be aware that Matt has been doing it tough over the last few months and any support you can show the family will be much appreciated. The account is now active and was previously used for donations towards to setting up of SFP NT that Matt was instrumental in supporting.

Bank: Bendigo Bank
BSB: 633-000
Acc: 114382302
Name: P B Hoare

The account balance is $300 and I will keep a running tally going so everyone can see progress. I'll be handing Milly a cheque with the proceeds later in the week when I get into Armidale.

Please dig deep, anything and everything will help!

Thank you,

Phillip Hoare

Does anyone have the Swift Code? My assistant says that we cannot wire money without it.

Well said Dave. I too know Aaron very well and he is a honorable man. Thanks for posting the video Aaron.

RIP Matt and my prayers are with his family.
