This is from a hunt in the Caprivi with Karl Stumpfe. We were trailing a group of Eles when this young guy saw us. He walked across a field towards us and kept coming and coming. We were standing net to a log, and he came right up to it; probably 12 feet away, and stood watching us for a few minutes. I could have spit and hit him. Pretty cool.

This next one is a gnarly old Bull taken in Malapati when Nixon had the area.

This is a 30” Waterbuck I shot in May 2019 while hunting with Jan du Plessis of Sebra Hunting Safaris. It is the largest Waterbuck I’ve seen in five safaris to Namibia. His horns are hung outside the guest chalet at Sebra with a nice brass plaque with my name on it.

Here are a few that I look at on occasion. Some from Zambia and some from Namibia.

I think that I would prefer to remember this exotic unreachable beauty as I last saw her - not her throwing rocks at me at Heathrow.

Yeah, I agree. But you can have both, just not at the same time. ;-)
