I mailed off my deposit for my first hunt in Africa. It is a 10 day Buff hunt with Tanzania Bundu Safaris. My wife and I booked for Nov 2008 for my 40th B-Day. Thanks Mark for the help and information and to the other people who contacted me as well. Now I have to find ways to not go stir crazy thinking about it for the next 27 months!!!! It will be fun working over my RSM .458 Lott. It is my first true Big Boar. I would like to touch base with other Africa Hunters that are around Arizona mainly in the Phoenix area. If any one is up for a range session I live close to Rio Salado and am a member at Phoenix Rod and Gun.
I have enjoy reading all the threads and seeing the photos on AR. This is a great site and find that I have to take a peak evey day when I get home.

Congratulations, the time will go by faster than you think.

My first safari was for Buff in Tanzania. I still remember every detail of that trip and continue to look at all the pictures I took.

I have since hunted in SA, while a great trip in itself, I have booked an '07 hunt back in the Selous. I don't think anyone can ever get enough.

Every waking moment will go into dreaming, planning and preparation. You have acquired an addiction worse than all others.

Do you mean "Bundu" instead of Dumbu?

Congrats btw! Your 27 months will fly by. Don_G and I booked our hunt in August of 2004 and we depart on our trip in 23 days. The 2 years have gone by a lot quicker than I thought they would!

Cheers,
Canuck

Will,

We generally prefer Tanzania Bundu Safaris rather Dumbu but whatever works for you is fine. It was and will be a pleasure working with you.

Will,

Congratulations on booking your hunt! I'm up in Cave Creek, when the weather cools down I am going to start working on loads for my Merkel 500 NE which I am taking to Zimbabwe next year for buffalo. If you want to go shooting this fall, send me a PM.

458Lottfan,

You booked a great hunt! I hunted out of that same camp in 2002. Matter of fact, the buffalo in my avitar is from there. The area really produces some wonderfull buffalo. Congratulations, I think you made a wise choice!

Yes, I concur with SBT... Lolkisale and Lobo in Masailand is an absolute dream destination for big buffalo bulls! I hunted there in 2003 when Ridge Taylor had the concession and I understand from Adam and Mark that they have made some major league upgrades to both the facilities and the land itself! You should have a great hunt in classic East African safari country. Good hunting.

I finaly finished reading all the searchalbe topics on AR conected to Tanzani Bundu Safaris. Man what a saga!!! It sounds like Mark Young did me right by setting me up in Loibor Serrit!!! Some of you have taken some fantastice animals from that area. It sounds like my wife and I are going to have a trip of a life time even if the animals may be tough to find. Thats just hunting if it was easy it would be called grociery shoping.

Adios and Semper Fi

Will
