Wild West Guns here in Anchorage produces their own version of a muzzle break that I have looked at. It is billed as a low-noise break that reduces recoil better than other better known breaks, like Weatherby's KDF breaks (which are not low-noise!). The break produced by Wild West Guns is basically six really big holes instead of a bunch of smaller holes at the end of the muzzle. I've never tried one... I use Weatherby's KDF breaks, which work great...I just protect my ears. You would think that if they were quiet and reduced recoil they would sell like hotcakes. The one that supposedly doesn't increase noise levels and allows you to observe hits because the muzzle would dip... What happened to those? I haven't heard anything in months.. Do they work er what? I was very interested in them, and still am...

I believe you are thinking about BP Technologies at www.bp-tec.com I have been thinking about these guys for a while, and might have them work on a MB for my 550 Mag project rifle. Reduced recoil, limited or nil muzzle rise with no increase of noise? Sounds great but I'll believe it when I experience it. John

Interesting, The physics as explained aren't too unreasonable. Video cameras automatically gain down the sound, and you can light load any round to a certain extent. Maybe I'll get one and try it on my 375 WBY when I get it paid for (Sam, the first check is on the way). JCN

Anyone try it or measured decibel levels with and without it from the shooter's placement?
