I see the price of CZ's just went up 15%. Better get them at the old price if possible.

They must be getting a big head. Wink

It's the demise of the US dollar causing this.

When the dollar is high, we delight in what we buy. When it is low, we delight in what we sell. Is a big cycle and it will turn again. A couple of years back, my friend Peet was bemoaning the 12-1 rand/dollar ratio. Now it's about 5.5-1, I think. Bet he's stocking up on U.S. built items! We, on the other hand, are booking shorter safaris. Frowner

Well, the dollar has only gone down 10% against the Czech koruna in the last year, so I guess the other 5% is either added profit or covers all the free guns and hunts they give out to gun writers. Razzer

Demise is a piss poor word to use.

de·mise

1. Death.

2. The end of existence or activity; termination:

When I was at CZ the other day, there was a whole stack of them set aside for Jim Carmichael. Anticipate a whole bunch of CZ-praising articles soon!

Last time I was passing through Kansas City, I tried to go look at the CZ America operation, but they wouldn't let me in the door. What are they ashamed of or whose arse has Will been kissing to get to be their PR man?

Some of the Czech female arse is pretty cute.

Is Will on the CZ payroll? troll

Will,
They must have you pegged as a "gun writer" what with your published appearances in _African Hunter_ and your nifty feature appearance in the book _Nyati_.

I do wonder, however, if Alice's carpet matches her drapes.

And now you have given me something to look forward to: God, Gun, Elephants, and a 7.3# .416 Taylor.

I won't be able to sleep tonight. Smiler

I think it has more to do with all the big Euro gun manufactuerers raising the cost of the rifles. Sauer and Blaser had a huge price increase over the past 3 years.

CZ just figured it was there turn.

It doesn't hur the that Republic is going to join the EU, or that the dollar is doing a negative slide.

When I got to Spain my house payment was E750 at the time it was $850, now it's almost $1100.

The only thing cheaper in Europe are double rifles. R93's cost more 202's cost more, K95's cost more.
