My sons have seen that and requested that I immediately offer trainee safaris for daughters, sisters and nieces. And their friends.

Great blog and hope you all have a fantastic time.

I would swap my sons for cash and simply send me your deposit details.

Wow! God bless her.

We had a good time in January on our family holiday with the 3 kids 19,16 & 13 shooting the 22. The 16 year old also hunted with me for hare & I shot a few with the 222Rem & the 7mm08.

Always great to shoot with the kids.

Wow! Very impressive video and a great thing for her to spend a month in Africa. Her English is quite good - she has nothing to worry about there. Looking forward to hear more of her adventure.

I watched all the segments. She is doing a great job. I do find myself talking back to the screen with unnecessary advice -- as if I were talking to my own girls!

Waiting to see how her new shooting stick arrangement works out. I am of course an expert from having read many discussions here about how to make a pair, never having actually made any myself. rotflmo

Nice video. Like the way she shoots offhand and, especially, the way she uses the flat of her hand to lift and move the bolt backwards rather than using the thumb and forefinger, which I was taught is a recipe for short stroking.

She'll be fine.

Regards, Tim

Congratulations Sir for properly raising a very nice young lady! Her English is fine, certainly far better than my Norwegian, which is none at all. Big Grin
All my sons and a daughter shoot, and so do all my 13 grand children save one who just shows no interest at all.
The world needs more ladies like your daughter!

Much more of a paper puncher than a hunter but, it seemed to me the young lady was jerking the trigger when shooting the .308 off the sticks
instead of focusing on the target and squeezing. Just a quick observation.

T.Carney, I always wondered about palm vs thumb and forefinger . I cam across a video of a WWI training scene where the camera could see down the whole length of the shooting line . About half use palm and half used thumb and forefinger ! wave
I'm a palm man myself ! I have no idea why she had a stiff bolt problem. Give her some time and she'll get it all squared away ! Smiler

Storm,

Your daughter's english is more than sufficient but she may find difficulty in understanding english spoken with an afrikaans accent.

And, for her own convenience, she might consider putting those golden locks in a bun as she spends too much time brushing it aside when trying to aim. coffee
