I was sitting at home last night when a friend called to tell me that there is a big bright moon out, and that I should go and take a photo of it with a long lens.

I got my Nikon P1000, put it on a tripod, and went out in the front garden of our house.

The moon was quite low, so I had to find a gap between the trees.

As I set the camera and tried getting the moon into focus, I saw this plane passing across.

So with the tripod partially on the ground and partially bent sideways, I took these quick shots.

I wonder what are the chances of this happening??

A video of the same moon rising

Funny part is we look at the moon, and it looks stationary.

But, looking at it through a high magnification lens, it is moving quite fast.

I knew you had a lot of pull with Emirates, but I never heard of your flights to the moon.

Superb photography, Saeed. Believe I read that the moon was at its annual closest to earth a few days ago, the "Super Snow Moon" the biggest full moon of 2019.

Saeed,

I'm guessing those shots are likely to be unique and therefore worthwhile applying copyrights. Wink

That is my guess, as you can seem to make out the jump. Definitely four engines, so it could also be an A380, but 747 is that is in fact the hump.

Incredible photos and luck!

Keep tinkering with those plane pictures
and you'll no doubt see the sign: Emirates
on it!

One time I set the camera lense open for a few hours just to get the arc. Pretty slick.
Only problem was someone came in the room and
bounced the floor so there was some "giggles"
in the middle of it.

Don't think I've seen better pictures of the
moon before.

Thanks for sharing,

George
