Gentlemen,

Have any of you been to the DSC Northeast Show in Connecticut?

DSC Northeast Call 2 Adventure

I will not attend DSC in Dallas this year so I am thinking about driving to this one-day show in March (I live about 3 hours away). Just looking for some feedback.

A fellow DSC Member referred me to your posting asking about the DSC Northeast Call2Adventure! 2020 fundraiser scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 14th at the Mohegan Sun Casino Convention Center in Uncasville, CT. I am the President of the DSC Northeast Chapter, and would be happy to talk with you (or any other potentially interested Forum members) one-on-one to answer any questions you may have about the event. Another offer I will also make -- to you and all other Forum members who similarly live more than a 250 mile distance from the venue and are first-time event attendees -- is to extend you a 50% discount on your tickets to our 2020 event, which will celebrate DSC Northeast's 5-year Anniversary as an official chapter of Dallas Safari Club. If interested, feel free to reach out via email or telephone thru either our DSC Northeast Chapter or Call2Adventure! event websites noting that you are Forum member responding to this posting and either myself or another Board member will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks for your interest in the event, and hope to have you with us!

Thank you for your post!

I am 220 miles away (in Pennsylvania) so the 50% would not apply to my situation but the tickets are already priced reasonably. I am surprised it has already been 5 years because it seems so recent since DSC rolled out the chapter program. Thanks for the welcome, I hope to attend.

I am happy to extend the discount offer to you (someone making the effort to drive 220 miles to attend an event for the first time is as good as 250 miles as far as I'm concerned!). Just let me know if you want to take me up on the offer. You are right about time passing so quickly -- we were actually one of the initial two inaugural chapters which DSC chartered, and the first DSC chapter outside Texas (both facts we're very proud of). I hope you will be able to attend, and if you do I look forward to meeting you there.

My wife and I attended this event for the first time this past Saturday. Given the current Corona situation it was obviously not a packed house, however we had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and the people were great. In New England you sometimes forget that there are like-minded hunters out there, so it was nice to meet many of them. Some of the auction hunts went for bargain prices (especially the foreign hunts). We picked up an Argentina dove hunt which we'll hopefully be able to take when things around the world settle down.
