Proper. I have one from that region and while it wasn't the hunt these guys took on it was tough enough. More like an elk hunt than a buffalo hunt.
Also, seems like the bulls, even old bulls seem to have horn tips that extend above their bosses, or is it just me. Mine did.

Buffalo bulls can be so varied in looks.

I shot one which had white spots on him.

His boss was thick, but had very short horns pointing upwards.

Looks like the devil.

Poor thing he was not so luck that day.

As my bullet went through a 6inch diameter mopane trunk and killed him!
