Looks like he was planning on leaving in January anyways. I wonder if his anti hunting stance recently played a part in him getting this gig.

I understand that he is a hunter. I wonder if his leaving is an indication that he was forced into positions that he felt were wrong? As bad as things were under him, his replacement might be worse.

Yeah, a duck hunter. As a Democrat political appointee he's been the bain of big game hunters, especially African hunters. Glad to see old Dan Ashehole go. Not soon enough, however.

Good riddance in every way. A double talker of note, a mouthpiece for Sally Jewel and her boss Obama, and another cog in the big wheel determined to shut down all hunting, starting with international hunting, through the proven model of import restrictions. The next guy, or more likely gal, will be of the same ilk, if not worse. At least Ashe would look you in the eye and say he was not necessarily pushing an agenda to shut international hunting down. Then, of course, his next meeting would be with the Humane Society and say " Guys, we're winning the war!" Good riddance I say.

All you guys badmouthing Ashe better DAMN sure put your money where you mouth is for Trump!

If Hillary gets elected and The Clinton Foudation gets that power...old Danny Boy will look like your best friend!

This is fact: Dan Ashe went to visit hunting blocks in TZ on behalf of USA owned TZ companies. He was on the USA Huunting Company side of things and I can back this up with proof.

Let the Clinton Foudation get control and USA hunters have seen their last of Africa.

It is an absolute fact that the Clinton Foundation had anti elephant hunting billboards right here in Orlando. You may well be right.

ledvm: I already have. For your information, I sat and personally listened to Ashehole excoriate the hunting community at an SCI CLE legal Seminar a few years ago. That was enough for me to know that he was one of our enemies, not friends. During his 'lecture' to all of us, you could have cut the tension in the room with a machete.

Certainly I agree with Lane that if Hillary is elected, the attack on international hunting will ramp up to never before seen levels. But with that said, Ashe was never our friend, bowed to pressure from above, and had the ear of the anti's at every important turn. TRUMP!
