I've hunted Zimbabwe in early July. Overnight in Johannesburg was a little chilly. I thought the weather in camp was great; pretty cool early and late, but not bad. I'm going back to Zimbabwe in September 2008. What will be the difference in the Matetsi at that time of year? Colder? More or less bugs/snakes? Less brush? (They tell me it will be dryer and therefore less brush; better able to see game.) More Buffalo? (the comment was that if the water has dried-up the buffalo will be moving, concentrating. Tiger Fishing - Better or worse? I had good luck in July in the morning; pretty slow in the afternoon.

Late September Can be quite hot and the nights will start to get warm also. Late September is usually the beginning of the Tiger fish season.
