I read a bit about hunting these forest dwellers in African Hunting magazine.

Has any one hunted bongo?

I find them a very attractive looking trophy.

Hello Deerdogs,

I have made 3 trips to the rainforest in Cameroon, for a total of 60 or so days. I have a friend Geoffroy de Gentille that has an operation there.

The rainforest is an unbelievable place full of a tremendous assortment of animals. The first time you walk up on a bongo you will be so amazed, the hide is a bright orange with a nuber of white stripes that cause it to jump out of the surrounding greenery.

Feel free to e-mail me if you would like more info.

Mike
