Anybody know where you can pick these up?

Maybe a dumb question, but I have to buy a new case[haven't flown a gun in 20 yrs.], if the case has 4 latches on it, do you need 4 locks, or will 1-2 locks suffice?

I would not use TSA locks on my gun case, just on luggage. I would use other locks and enclose extras (same combination or keyed alike) inside to be used if they cut yours off.

See Terry Carr's explanation in the Tuffpak thread.

Most every half decent hardware store in my area sells them, along with Wallmart and the big drug stores too IIRC.

You don't need four locks for your case but depending on the quality of the latches one at each end might be a good idea. You can buy same keyed or combo pairs of locks for sure and sets of three or four also IIRC.

Make sure you actually try the locks on your case. I neglected this when I took locks off one case for use on another and only discovered at the airport that the locks wouldn't fit over the hasp of the case I was taking. Fortunately the TSA guys were great and allowed me to run to the nearest in airport store and buy locks that fit.

I have never understood the need for TSA locks.

You take your bag, put on any cheap lock, and your Tuff-Pak, and away you go. Have TSA handcheck everything (they will the guns anyway). I don't see the problem.

And with due respect to Harry, he is not the only US supplier of Tuff-Paks!

Try my local guy:

Who just happens to have my book for credit card orders!!
