SmilerAnybody have any thoughts or experience in hunting elephant in Kazuma (Zimbabwe)? Any better or worse than the Matetsi safari areas?

Appreciate any insight.

Kazuma is a Forestry commission area (unless someone has started hunting in the park...) It is part of the matetsi complex and lies on the Botswana border. For ele's as good as any Matetsi unit.

Who you thinking of hunting with?

Johnny Johnson and his son Guav are putting together a hunt for us, and we're not sure which area. Trying for elephant/buffalo for me and sable or leopard for my wife.

Have hunted with them 3 times before, all in Matetsi, and each was nothing less than fabulous.

I have a great solution to your problem. I will shoot your elephant for you in Matesi, and you and your lovely wife can hunt the sable and leopard in Kazuma. Oh yeah, I'd be happy to "clap" the buffalo for you too.

HT Johhny is a first class lad and often buys hunts in the forestry area. No worries there. Trophy size? There is always an 80+ taken in that area each year but most run arround 50lbs aside.
